Overview

The Dual SidePac equipments are the result of many years experience by the Farid European Group in the manufacturing of waste and recycling equipment. Called a Dual SidePac because of its versatility. It can lift containers on both the nearside and offside and with its demountable body (by hook lift operation) it can be used for any number and variety of recyclables. 

The Dual SidePac system makes waste collection much more technologically advanced, modern and efficient and is suitable for all urban environments. 

In short the Dual SidePac is a bilateral, automated, mono-operator device for the collection of waste containers. 

Both collection equipment and a cleaning unit are incorporated into the Dual SidePac system.

Technical Specification

ALPA12 – Crane Equipment 

Alpa12’s is a bilateral, automated, mono-operator device for the collection of waste containers. Its advanced technology designed makes it possible to pick up both surface containers and underground containers from either side of the vehicle. 

The crane equipment is fitted with all necessary elements for picking up a waste container, lifting it, placing it over the loading hopper of the compactor, emptying it and finally returning it to its original position on the ground. The cycle is continuous, and the whole process is completed much more quickly. The operating device and monitor inside the cabin allow total control throughout the process. 

PCG Hook Lift Equipment 

Offering an interchangeable system,the PCG is a well-built, balanced and robust piece of equipment. It is compatible with all elements of the Dual SidePac system: waste compactors, roll on containers and cleaning units. Indeed, it is possible to choose, at any point in time, the best option for your waste collection needs. 

An optional fixed system is also available, by replacing the hook lift equipment with a chassis equipped with a tilting unloading device. 

Top Loading CMS-DS Compactor Body 

The top loading CMS-DS compactor is designed to compact municipal solid waste from differentiated waste collection. It is suitable for transportation by hooklift equipment. 

The compactor consists of 4 parts: 

  • The receiving hopper: the alpa12 automatically locates the receiving hopper, places the container directly above it and empties the waste vertically into it.
  • The compaction chamber: when the waste enters the compaction chamber it is progressively compacted by a horizontal press plate and pushed into the storage box. The compaction chamber is made of high quality materials and designed to withstand the thrust and pressure of movement.
  • The storage box: the compacted waste is stored here until completely full. Its clean, modern design allows easy customisation and the curved doors facilitate unloading.
  • The unloading door: the curved door allows for the storage box to be filled to maximum capacity. The automated device ensures the door closes perfectly and is totally secure. 

Options:

• The compactor can be mounted on the chassis and emptied using a rear tilting unloading system.

• A semi-automatic container tipper can be incorporated into the side of the CMS-DS for collection of standard bins (120

l, 240 l, 360 l).

Overview

Coming from the Satellite ‘Mini Compactor’ range of vehicles, the Farid PN equipment is a truly high performance single piece construction satellite compaction body with 10m³, 13m³ and 15m³ capacities. The PN body range has a performance similar to medium and large refuse collection vehicles making this unit versatile for all types refuse collection and recycling tasks.

The Farid PN is a fully sealed; one piece construction body with compaction ratio of 5:1 with guaranteed no leakages, making it ideal for any types of recycling or general waste collection and suitable for chassis range 12,000kgs - 18,000kgs GVW. The vehicle is an ideal solution where restricted access is a problem and excellent manoeuvrability is required.

The PN comes with an integral Farid comb bin lift capable of handling all types of bins from 120 litres to 1100litres capacity and food waste caddies or ‘slave type’ bins. Alternatively, hand loading is achieved by lowering the rear drop-down rave plate which can be opened at a moments notice and safely stowed away using the bin lift.

Overview

Developed from the Satellite Mini Compactor range of RCVs, the Micro is a semi-compaction body with 4m3 or 5m3 capacities and manufactured in steel material for a range of simple refuse collection and recycling tasks.

The Micro is a fully sealed; one piece construction body with compaction ratio of 3:1 ensures no leakages, making it ideal for food waste collection and suitable for a chassis GVW of 7,500kgs. The Micro is an ideal solution where restricted access is a problem and excellent manoeuvrability is required.

Coming from the Farid Satellite vehicle, Mini Compactor range of equipment, the Micro XHD LoadMax delivers high performance collection of recycling materials, especially food waste and other high liquid contaminated waste streams

The Micro XHD LoadMax, a semi-compaction body, is available in 7m³ capacity for the UK market. It has a fully sealed; one piece construction body with a compaction ratio of 3.5:1. The body, which is suitable for mounting to a chassis GVW of 11t - 12t, is a fully sealed one piece construction body with guaranteed no leakages - making it ideal for food waste collection and other recycling tasks. It provides an ideal solution where restricted access is a problem and excellent manoeuvrability is required.

The Micro XHD LoadMax also comes with an integral Farid comb bin lift capable of handling all types of bins from 120 litres to 1100 litres capacity and food waste caddies or ‘slave type’ bins. Alternatively, hand loading is achieved by using optional side access doors which can be opened manually at a moments notice.

The 3.5:1 compaction ratio is achieved by a well proven, heavy duty hydraulic sweep plate and transitional carriage plate compaction system. Forward load and weight distribution is achieved throughout the loading cycle, ensuring optimum axle loading and excellent payloads are achieved.

WASTE UNLOADING
Unloading of waste is achieved by tipping of the Micro XHD LoadMax body ensuring complete clean discharge of all waste materials and residual liquids collected. This tipping discharge operation can be done into any receptacles such as Skips, ISO Containers, AD Plants or Waste Transfer Stations.

SATELLITE OPERATION

Ultimate satellite discharge operation is performed when using a Farid T1 Series rcv offering a vehicle to vehicle ‘mothership’ transfer of waste solution.

FHE Cat 3 ABP Compliant Equipments:
  1. Micro S (4m³ capacity), one-piece construction, (liquidity retention of 2950 litres capacity), is a 100% fully sealed and leak proof tipping body variant.
  2. Micro L (5m3 capacity), one-piece construction, (liquidity retention of 3650 litres capacity), is a 100% fully sealed and leak proof tipping body variant.
  3. Micro XHD LoadMax (7m³ capacity), one-piece construction, (liquidity retention of 5500 litres capacity), is a 100% fully sealed and leak proof tipping body variant.
